» On August 31 October 7, 2007 the ninth International Short Film Festival Tinklai is going to take place in Vilnius, Klaipėda, Kaunas, Panevėžys, Šiauliai and Alytus.
The festival was born as a cultural move seeking to establish a regularly happening event in Vilnius and the Western Lithuania, that could attract an audience of various dispositions and present it with an unconventional cinema festival.

September 29 30 and October 5 7. ŠIAULIAI, Ch. Frenkels Villa
October 5 7. ALYTUS, Culture and Communication Centre
A total of more than 190 memorable short films will be screened and rendezvous with the festival guests will take place.
The Special Guests of the festival are Adolfas Mekas (USA) and Pola Chapelle (USA). They will visit Vilnius and Klaipėda with retrospective screenings.
There will be an election of public favourites. The three most popular ones will be awarded special prizes: Golden Spectator, Silver Spectator and Bronze Spectator.
In eight years the festival has screened over 1000 films and provided an opportunity for more than 90,000 viewers to meet and interact with directors, producers and film critics from 20 countries. In 2003 the festival entered the European Open Air Screenings Association and in 2005 became a member of the European Coordination of Film Festivals. Its geography spread from Klaipėda and Ventė Horn to Vilnius, Kaunas, Panevėžys, Alytus, Šiauliai, Palanga and Trakai.
